Medulloblastoma and Other CNS embryonal tumors are types of brain cancer that primarily occur in children. These tumors develop from embryonic cells in the central nervous system (CNS), which includes the brain and spinal cord.
Medulloblastoma is the most common type of embryonal tumor and arises in the cerebellum, the region of the brain responsible for balance and coordination. It usually occurs in children between the ages of 3 and 8. Symptoms may include headache, nausea, vomiting, and unsteady walking.
