Mouth Cancer

Mouth cancer, also known as oral cancer or oral cavity cancer, refers to cancer that develops in the tissues of the mouth or throat. It typically originates in the squamous cells, which are the thin, flat cells found in the lining of the mouth, tongue, and throat.

Some common risk factors for mouth cancer include tobacco use, heavy alcohol consumption, a family history of cancer, prolonged exposure to the sun, and a weakened immune system.
