Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is a type of cancer that forms in the cells of the breast. It is the most common cancer in women worldwide, however, men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer, although it is much less common.

Risk factors for breast cancer include age (the risk increases as a person gets older), family history of breast cancer, certain gene mutations (such as BRCA1 and BRCA2), personal history of breast cancer or other breast conditions, certain reproductive factors (such as early menstruation, and late menopause.
