Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) is a type of cancer that affects the bone marrow and blood. It is a slow-growing cancer that commonly affects older adults, particularly those over the age of 60.
CLL occurs when there is an overproduction of abnormal white blood cells called lymphocytes. These lymphocytes ac****ulate in the bone marrow, lymph nodes, and other organs. As the disease progresses, it can lead to a decrease in healthy blood cells, causing symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, frequent infections, and swollen lymph nodes.
