Gallbladder cancer is a rare form of cancer that begins in the gallbladder, a small pear-shaped organ located below the liver. It is most commonly seen in people over the age of 65.
There are different types of gallbladder cancer, with the most common type being adenocarcinoma, which starts in the cells that line the inner wall of the gallbladder. Other types include squamous cell carcinoma, small cell carcinoma, and adenosquamous carcinoma.
