Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer that develops from immature nerve cells called neuroblasts. It usually occurs in young children and infants, typically before the age of 5. Neuroblastoma most commonly arises in the adrenal glands, which are located on top of the kidneys, but it can also develop in other areas of the body like the chest, abdomen, or pelvis.
