Squamous neck cancer, also known as squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, is a type of cancer that begins in the squamous cells lining the inside of the neck. It is most commonly found in the throat, tonsils, or the base of the tongue.
Risk factors for developing squamous neck cancer include tobacco and alcohol use, exposure to certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV), poor oral hygiene, and a weakened immune system.
