Uterine cancer, also known as endometrial cancer, is cancer that develops in the lining of the uterus, called the endometrium. It is the most common form of cancer of the female reproductive system. Uterine cancer typically occurs after menopause, but it can also affect women who are still menstruating.
The exact cause of uterine cancer is unknown, but certain risk factors increase the chance of developing the disease.
