Childhood ependymoma is a type of brain tumor that occurs in children. Ependymomas arise from ependymal cells, which line the ventricles of the brain and the central canal of the spinal cord.
Symptoms of childhood ependymoma may vary based on the location and size of the tumor. Common symptoms include headaches, nausea/vomiting, seizures, changes in vision, difficulty with balance and coordination, and changes in behavior or personality.
