Childhood papillomatosis, also known as juvenile-onset recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (JORRP), is a rare condition characterized by the growth of benign wart-like growths (papillomas) in the upper respiratory tract. It primarily affects children under the age of five, but can also occur in older children and adults.
The exact cause of childhood papillomatosis is unknown, but it is thought to be caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), specifically types 6 and 11.
