"Now Is Good" (2012) is a heartfelt teen romantic drama centered on Tessa, a 17-year-old girl diagnosed with terminal acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Knowing her time is limited, Tessa creates an ambitious bucket list to experience as much life as she can with the help of her best friend, Zoey. Her wishes include classic rites of passage and daring adventures, such as breaking the law and falling in love for the first time. Tessa’s relationship with her caring but overprotective father, her absentee mother, and her supportive younger brother adds depth to her journey.​

As she strives to check off her bucket list, Tessa’s world changes when she develops a deep bond and romance with her new neighbor, Adam. Despite her declining health, Adam becomes a source of comfort, love, and encouragement, joining her in creating lasting memories. Tessa’s journey is a mix of risk-taking, confronting family issues, and accepting what she cannot control, focusing on the importance of living in the moment and cherishing connections with those she loves.
