Pharyngeal cancer is a type of cancer that originates in the pharynx, which is the hollow tube that runs from the back of the nose to the top of the esophagus. The pharynx is responsible for moving food from the mouth to the esophagus and allowing air to p**** through to the lungs.

There are three main types of pharyngeal cancer: nasopharyngeal cancer, oropharyngeal cancer, and hypopharyngeal cancer.
